Gateway Special Recreation Association contracts the services of Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities to provide recreation programs. Together, the two organizations promote and encourage positive interaction between persons with and without disabilities. Inclusive activities provide benefits for all. Gateway was formed through an intergovernmental agreement and is an extension of the Park Districts of Burr Ridge , Elmhurst , Oak Brook , Pleasant Dale, Westchester and York Center, The City of Countryside and the Villages of Hinsdale and Willowbrook . Gateway provides year-round recreational services and programs, including Special Olympics and summer camps to children, teens and adults from these nine area park districts. Board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 3:30 pm at the Oak Brook Park District located at 1450 Forest Gate Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523. You are welcome to attend.
